Zombie Movies

The top five zombie movies every zombie fan should see!

Reanimated corpses have only become more popular over the years. Zombies are not just for the geeks and nerds anymore but movie buffs too. Movie watchers around the world enjoy watching zombies tear, rip, and feed on living flesh. The popularity speaks for itself with all the television shows and movies that come out year after year. If you're a fan of the flesh-eating monster, and can't get enough of them then I urge you to take a peak at this list. It will give you hours of entertainment and maybe you will even pick up a few zombie survival skills along the way.

1. Resident Evil

I know many of you are going to disagree with me, but I added this movie to the list anyway. Not only were the Resident Evil games overly successful, the movies were too! They wouldn't have made four of them if they weren't. You might not like the acting but the storyline is solid. The games themselves are also very entertaining. So if you enjoy the movies I do recommend you pick up a copy of the games as well.

2. Land Of The Dead

The citizens in Land Of The Dead try to ignore the outbreak and the zombies that are infected outside of the electric barricade. Teams are sent in special vehicles to loot the outside world. If you enjoy George A Romero's previous work then Land Of The Dead will not disappoint. This movie isn't for everyone. It wouldn't be considered a classic, nor will it ever become one. Land Of The Dead is just a recent zombie movie that did well in theaters and many people enjoyed. I hope you will enjoy it too.

3. Shaun Of The Dead

Most people have already seen this film so I will not go into great detail. The movie can be basically summed up as a horror comedy. A man is attempting to win back his ex-girlfriend by trying to be a hero. Only everyone is pretty much dead and the community that once ignored him is now trying to kill him.

4. Return Of The Living Dead

A group of employees at a medical supply warehouse accidentally release a dangerous virus into the air. The virus is quickly spreads and creates zombies that begin a brain-feeding rampage in Louisville, Kentucky. The twist in this movie becomes clear when the zombies begin to run. This changed the rulebook for Romero's classic film. Where he basically stated that zombies could not run, jump, or do much of anything. Zombies are suppose to be the dead coming back to life if you remember. Nevertheless Return Of The Living Dead was and still is an awesome franchise. I recommend this to any zombie fan!

5. Night Of The Living Dead

This is the iconic 1968 film of the zombie genre. The first to be created by George Romero but not the last. Night Of The Living Dead begins with siblings visiting their father's grave only to be confronted by brain-eating zombies! The zombies then begin to terrorize a group of people in a country house. Killing them off one by one. The movie was unsuccessful when released due to the explicit content. It made a comeback over the years as it grew in popularity and became known as the first zombie movie in Hollywood history.

I know every movie fan has their own list. This is mine. So you don't have to agree with it but you should give them a chance. Especially if you are a die-hard zombie fan!
